session updates from lunch and tea day 3

First session Ganguly batted pretty damn well, Australia didn’t bowl well to him, but regardless he played well. Then he threw his wicket away like he does all too often.

He not only throuw it away, he continued to donate to the Save the Tongue foundation.

Sachin didn’t really bat that well in the first session, he wasn’t horrible, but he wasn’t in control of his innings.

Lee bowled very well before and after lunch, he worked Yuvraj over, then got rid of Dhoni and Anil without much of a sweat.

Johnson bowled a ten over spell after lunch, none for 44. Was one of the longest benign spells I’ve seen from an Australian bowler since Michael Kasprowicz first made the team.

Why Ponting would keep him on for that lone going at 4.4 an over with no real danger of a wicket falling is beyond me.

Johnson played Sachin into great form, and by the time he got his century he was batting more like a pre 2000 Sachin and less like the guy who makes runs against Bangladesh.

The spin bowling Singh came out and batted like a real slogging tail ender, unfortunately Sachin found a way to settle him down and then the game got boring until Sachin got near his ton.

Australia has let the game drag a little in the first hour after lunch and now India should go past Australia if Harbhajan stays with Sachin.

When is the rain due, cause the pitch is pretty damn good, I reckon if i faced Johnson for a while i could edge up to 12, so to get a result there can't be any delays.www.cricketwithballs.com "the hooking & pulling specialists"
