session update, well its a whole day update

The only way this game can’t be a draw now is if one of these teams has a major collapse.

Good bowling and test match pressure are important, but the pitch is so good you feel you could pick up a bat and go alright on it.

Only two tailenders have failed in this match so far.

Sharma who is built like a praying mantis played Brett Lee like he was Scott Styris.

I love hearing about how good a cricket wicket this is, and how much is in it for the bowlers.

One score of 470 and another of over 500 have confirmed that this is definitely a good cricket wicket.

Harbhajan Singh, Brad Hogg and Brett Lee all scoring half centuries, well what a bowling wicket it must be.

The Mcg might be a sh1t wicket, but us Victorians understand this, we embrace it even.

Every other ground in Australia if you fail to make less than 450, where is the fun in that.

Don’t get me wrong, the Indians batted well, Tendulkar was on form, Bhajji batted well above his station and even RP and Sharma played nice shots, but they weren’t playing on a green top in Dunedin either.

Ponting continued to give them Mitchell Johnson overs in a last ditch effort to find him form before the Waca. Right at the moment my mum could play him, I mean how hard would it be for her to watch wide balls go by outside off?

There is rain forecast for tomorrow, unless the pitch suddenly deteriorates
, Australia collapse or Australia give a friendly declaration, the game is a draw.

Sharma proved seeing the ball is not an important part of batting today. His helmet grill was so close to his helmet peak he must have been guessing where the ball was coming from.

Luckily on this pitch you don’t need to see the ball in order to play a cameo innings.

I’m not going to mention how bad Australia bowled to the tail or even why Sachin didn’t push on (or declare), because they cancel each other out .

Was good to see the spin bowling Singh and Roy exchange some words, and then watch Harbhajan look apologetic for the next little while.

If I could have access to the stump mics for just one game, I would be in heaven.www.cricketwithballs.com "the hooking & pulling specialists"
