L Ron Stanford

Not since Battlefield Earth has there been bigger waste of money than this 20 million game.

Stanford has raided his piggy bank so that one of The England and the Stanford All Star XI will be rewarded.

For the sake of 2020 continuity, the Stanford All Star XI is being renamed the Stanford XI All Star.

I don’t have a problem with 20 million dollars being spent on one game of cricket.

It’s about time cricketers cashed in like other major sports stars do.

They certainly make enough for sponsors and TV networks.

But, 20 million dollars and all we can get is an England v West Indies (SXIAS) 2020 game.

Neither side made the semis of the 2020 world (cup) championships.

One side has never won a one day world cup, the other side won a couple when John Lennon was around.

They are ranked at 6 and 8 in the current one day rankings.

Most importantly they fail the one big test when talking about 20 million dollar games, neither side has it in them to provide 20 million dollars worth of entertainment.

This could be the worst value for money deal since the last John Travolta film.

Bravo, KP, Edwards and Gayle aside, these two teams have the personality of a plastic tree.

That is being unkind to plastic trees.

For 20 million dollars you want sex, excitement, and controversy.

Not Sidebottom bowling to the Chrab.

Or Jimmy Anderson looking smarmily at Sarwan.

What we have here is a 20 million dollar budget, and an 8 dollar product.www.cricketwithballs.com

Now with new proper english lady blogger.
