Hayden gone, one day at a time

Andrew Hilditch took a baby step today in letting Hayden go from the Australian one day side.

Hayden still took it badly.

As you would expect, he held onto that spot like Mary held onto her virginity.

But with his body falling apart and his form being non existent, it was the logical step.

There is no reason in my mind why someone of Hayden’s age should be in the one day side.

He is not going to be the opener at the next world cup.

He is holding back younger players.

And one day cricket means nothing when world cups aren’t played.

Less than that.

The big test is the squad for the tests in South Africa.

Because he is going, there are no offensive phrases I can use to stop him from going, he just is.

The question is, will a back up be going as well.

Jacques, Rogers, Hughes and Klinger are the names they may be slipped in as cover.

If not Hilditch, Boon and Cox should be fired, and then stabbed with a pen knife in the groin.

If Hayden is so damn hard to drop, at least try and scare him back to form.

Just pick any of the four whose name doesn’t start with a K, and make the big fella earn his feed again.

There are no free rides in test cricket, the team comes first, second and third.

So Andrew Hilditch needs to find or borrow a pair of testicles and take some action.

Because if he doesn’t I will start a petition, and you all know what that means.
