At the bell Watson looked confident, and SOS Marsh was on the back foot.
Marsh fought his way back though, and at one stage in this round it looked this was going to be one for the ages.
It wasn’t, Watson succumbed to the pressure and Marsh scooted away with the superior footwork.
Have to call this round to Marsh, and thusly pronounce him Australia’s new opening batsman.
His prize, a spot with the Christian Crusader Matthew Hayden.
Watson though, with his hundred will have Jimmy Hopes, and his small forehead more than a little worried.
