has a speed gun ever got you out?

There is winning.

There is being edged out in a tight contest.

There is losing the grip on a test match.

There is losing comfortably.

There is getting smashed around.

There is losing your pants.

And then there is a one hundred and fifty odd partnership @ over four an over between Ian Foreplay Bell and Stuart backstreet Broad.

Pace has been a major factor in this match.

Ian Bells flourishing start quickly England past that collapse in record time.

KP’s innings strike rate of 83 was more than brisk.

The first 14 overs of the day where England scored 80 runs happened fast.

Things are happening quickly for South Africa, and pace is the reason.

4 right arm quick bowlers, all of differing styles, are all going at over three and a half per over.

There were those who said this was the best attack in the world, I’d prefer India's, but this is definitely in the top two.

Right at the moment their attack is having the sort of stage fright that ends with American Idol hopefuls keeping their day jobs.

Morkel is impressing everyone with his 4 wickets, but he has also scored a century at Lords.

Steyn has taken one wicket, Vaughan, the man most likely to miss a ball on his stumps early in his innings.

He looks flatter than usual, but he is a confidence bowler and could finish off the innings in an over.

Ntini and Kallis have no wickets.

Ntini was out bowled by Nel in their home series against New Zealand and West Indies, and has played 6 more tests this year has only taken 11 more wickets than Nel.

He is not the Ntini of old, in the World Cup he was Tina Turner to a whole bunch of Ikes.

His run rate per over is up at 4.6 this match.

If he was as pale as me, would he be playing?

Kallis is fat, and in 5 sessions has bowled 20 overs of his usual 3 foot outside off stump.

Harris is a 5th bowler, much like Beau Casson, if the top 3 or 4 were good bowlers, Harris would be a handy player, but if they aren’t and they have to bowl front line, good test batsman are going to enjoy playing them.

Am I quick to judge.

Maybe I'm rushing.

Perhaps I should start pacing myself.www.cricketwithballs.com

Now with new proper english lady blogger.
