as the crow flies

153 overs straight.

No wickets for 60 overs.

A flat pitch.

Two extremely well set, one heavy set, gentleman at the crease.

An attack that some may say is missing S Jones or F Flintoff.

A test straight after this one.

And a new nut due in 22 overs, on a pitch that an old ball my favour.

Where to for the England?

There isn’t an over the goes by where Neil McKenzie doesn’t likely to go out, he played Collingwood like he was Jim Laker on a sticky wicket.

Graeme Smith has never batted less Hayden like ever.

There is the chance that South Africa could remain unbeaten for a mere 180 runs at the close of play.

McKenzie started playing for stumps on day 4 during his innings before stumps on day 3.

At stumps he won’t leave the crease, he will just get Zondeki to bring him out a glass of warm milk and a blankie.

The England need a South African collapse now, you can’t see them working at these wickets, it needs to be quick, deadly, and a little naughty.

South Africa are still 220 odd behind, they could bat for another whole day and may still end up behind.

That may not help England, as 10 wickets seems a long ways away.

On another note, AB De Villiers reads Jeffrey Archer.

I know this from the 82 times he was shown.

Great test cricket, but less events than a Lemmings 10 year anniversary.www.cricketwithballs.com

Now with new proper english lady blogger.
