Sehwag does his best work with a microphone made of wood

His murderousness is angry.

“Australia cheated” he said from the mountain.

They claimed half volleys.

We should have won.

Etc.

But when does Anil Kumble get his blame?

Why does no Indian, cricketer or adminsistracrat, come out and say, whoops, we probably shouldn’t have entered into this agreement that almost no other country on earth had entered.

If they don’t walk when they nick it, why would they be truthful when the catch it?

It doesn’t take a rocket pornographer to know this.

So when Anil went into the room and agreed to this, he made a mistake, one that arguably could have cost India the series, and one he should front up for.

This whole ‘we are the victims’ crap is boring.

I love Sehwag, probably more than any other player, but tough shit Viru.

Your team made a mistake agreeing to that pact.

And it fucked you.

Many a sporting event is one or lost off the field, this one may have been.

Because not only did you let it get to you, your team collapsed in two sessions.

Pathetic.

Had you not collapsed in two sessions, we would have all forgotten about this.

Yes Australia are 50% responsible.

And Steve Bucknor probably gets 25% as well.

But sides don’t generally lose 10 wickets in two sessions in Australia.

So man up for it.

The world is not against you.

You got fucked over in a test, and it cost the series, but you sure as shit made mistakes as well.

Why wasn’t there talk about how fragile your batting is under intense pressure.

Or talk about why the pact was taken in the first place.

I’m all for having a good sook, but when that is finished, you have to look at your own part of it, and in the media at least, that seems to be ignored.

Calling Australia cheats wont put an asterisk next to the result.

In Wisden it will forever go down as a loss.

No amount of name calling, jumping up and down will change it.

Australia probably would have won or drew the 2005 ashes had Kasprowicz not been given out incorrectly.

But shit happens, and had Australia played better, they would not have been in that situation.

Sehwag, you always do your best talking on the field, so take out that bat and carve a hole in the cheating bastards if you have to.

You aren’t as pretty with a microphone.www.cricketwithballs.com... Aussie Haiku straight to your box
