second day lunch update

I’m not going to lie to you, getting up at 5am to watch the cricket is hard enough, doing it when Shane Watson is jaw boning around is torture.

Luckily that doesn’t last very long, Sharma bowls him 30 seconds before he plays his defensive shot.

He really does make it hard not to bag him, it was a terrible shot, and he could have been out the ball before with a Watson standard.

Haddin just left a ball on height.

Dude, you’re not in Canberra anymore.

The 12 people who are there are really vocal.

Hussey gets his 50 in there somewhere.

Watson may have looked as per usual, but Haddin is spending a lot of time anchored to the crease with his bat gently swaying in the wind.

Haddin finally plays a good shot, and it is a good shot, on drive that races away.

300 comes up, Haddin isn’t loving Sharma, but lugging around that adams apple would be tiring, so he has been rested.

Spin at both ends now, how will Haddin play this, generally he tries to hit spinners back over their heads.

Haddin slaps Kumble back over his head.

If Australia make it to lunch without losing a wicket, this is a big win, especially after the ‘watson’ saga of earlier.

Kumble has bowled everything except the carom ball today, and you might see that in the afternoon.

This may be the slowest innings of Haddin’s life.

Australia did flirt with a quicker run rate for a while there, but they grinded away instead.

Hussey accumulated with ease, haddin wasn’t always impressive, but stayed with Hussey to win the session for Australia.

Sharma was the pick of the bowlers, by a long distance, Kumble tried a lot but didn’t look threatening.

Bhaji was average, again.

Watson is a palindrome, and a pain in the ass.

India need a huge middle session now.www.cricketwithballs.com... Aussie Haiku straight to your box
