One upon a time In Bangalore

Australia

Good: Ponting’s form, Johnson’s bowling and Shane Watson.

Bad: Not enough wickets, Hayden and Clarke both failed, and the 3 bowlers will get tired.

Ugly: Ricky Ponting’s hairy arms, Simon Katich’s second innings.

India

Good: Khan and Shrama’s new ball team, and the tail end batting.

Bad: Kumble’s shoulder and form, and the middle order.

Ugly: The fielding and the running between wickets.

Who won the draw

Well no one, because it’s a draw.

Australia would have been happy to dominate for most of the time, but would have been pissed not too win.

India would have been happy to get a draw in the end, but would have preferred to be in charge.

The Clint Eastwood Player

Ricky Ponting, everyone was talking about his average before the tour, he comes in and stamps himself all over the first day of the series.

The way he played Bhaji was especially Clint like.

The Lee Van Cleef player

Zaheer Khan wins it for the beard, the bellows, and the all round performances.

Bowled well, batted well and was the catalyst for quite a few of India’s best moments.

The Eli Wallach player

Harbhajan Singh gets this one, not for his bowling, but for his batting, without that, there was very little chance of getting a draw.

The Ennio Morricone moment

Mark Nicholas for his aborted attempt to explain Brett Lee’s nickname of Bing, because it was too long a story, the story is, there is a store in Sydney called Bing Lee.www.cricketwithballs.com... Aussie Haiku straight to your box
