Having feasted on Australia’s 3 man attack, they played a team with 5 bowlers, and two proper spinners, neither are world beaters, but both get the ball down the other end knowing what is going on.
England haven’t been pretty so far, but you have to give them credit, they had three batsmen willing to tough it out and get to 316.
India seemed to leave all the hard work to someone else.
Who ever that is still hasn’t turned up.
Dhoni and Bhaji can still save the day, they are capable of putting on a hundred one partnership at least.
Ofcourse Freddy only needs one good spell and Bhaji or Dhoni is gone.
The world is not yet over for India, but this does not bode well for Indian cricket.
Beating Australia at home is a great effort, even if Australia helped out, but India’s recent record is still pretty crap.

If they lose this test, they will have won 1 out of their last 5, and will make any suggestions they are the best team in the world, or second or third seem a bit nuts.
India fans were cocky about this series, but Indian fans are always cocky, they just didn’t see England as a genuine threat.

Which ever BCCi adminstracratic fuckstick agreed to a two test series should be burned for real, not just in effigy, if England take this test.
Rain, bad light or a flat pitch could render the last test a draw, and England could win an away series on the back of one top order Indian collapse and a bit of help from a quickly deteriorating pitch.
The game isn’t over yet, but England have set this up to be a much more interesting series than we thought.
