let the die decide

Ricky is angry.

Ricky only gets angry when he loses, or his integrity, which is obviously beyond contention in any area, is questioned.

His anger caused him to kick his team mates in the back side.

Which is code for, no shower play.

What must be hurting Ricky is that its his boys who are letting him down.

The bowlers are doing a pretty good job.

But the batsmen look hit or miss.

If the runs don’t come from the top of the tree, the tree falls over.

The partnerships have all but evaporated and the team looks a little ginger.

This has happened many times before, including the 2003 world cup.

So it is not panic stations just yet.

What exactly is a panic station? Who patrols it, and where do they have them?

It’s hard to know who if anyone should be replaced, Gilly is going, Hayden is looking ok, Ricky is very miss, not so much hit. Clarke has been the best this series, Hussey only makes runs on wickets the others can’t handle, and Roy seems to have forgotten how to be Roy.

They all look a bit stale at the moment.

I suggest a random dropping.

I just finished a book called the dice man.

If he were a selector he would assign each batsmen a number and roll the die to decide who to @ss.

Seems more logical than most selections.

Cricket is random anyway, we play on grass (well we used to), the weather and toss decide fates and no one knows where most quicks are trying to bowl.

So why not chuck down the die and see how it lies.

It’s only one day cricket anyway.www.cricketwithballs.com "Sign our David Hussey petition"
