ICL or ICC who is eviler?

Why are ICL players banned from International cricket?

If players are willing to put their domestic and international sides first, why can they not cash in during the off season.

Do cricket administracrats only take cash from their jobs, they don’t make money from consultancy, or with share port folios that may have companies in direct competition with their nations arrangements.

Any player who signs his life over to ICL and forgets about his country is a different matter.

But what about an English player who is not currently in the side.

If it is in his off season, should he not be allowed to play for any cricket league.

Where is the line drawn?

If Ponting wants to play in the Adolf Leagues of Germany, does he have to get the ICC to rubber stamp it?

Does Sean Ervine need official sanctioning to go into a chicken throwing contest?

Can KP enter the world’s biggest ass clown competition?

Let us not forget that the ICL is a bastard love child of some serious friends with benefits administrating from the BCCi about television rights.

Now they want to punish professional cricketers from cashing in on something that the ICC will cash in on.

If Cricket is professional, then shouldn’t professionals be able to ply their trade?

Players already need to run all personal sponsors past boards, next they will have to run the potential partners and sunscreen lotions by them, before application.

Will a player be forced from an International team for wearing Ray Bans instead of Oakleys?

How do we end this?

I suggest anarchy.

Street cricket is cooler anyway.

Who’s with me?

Take to the streets with your bats people.www.cricketwithballs.com "Sign our David Hussey petition"

poor hoggard

The England used a night watchman.

My theory on night watchman is similar to my theory on marriage, once upon a time it may have made sense, but the world has now evolved.

Batsmen are paid to bat.

Their job is to go out onto the middle of the field, also known as pitch, and make runs whilst not losing their wicket.

They are generally the best equipped at batting in their team, hence why they are called batsmen, not shark collectors.

So then why at the end of a days play do bowlers in the guise of night watchman go out to protect these batsmen.

Is the game not already easy enough for batsmen.

More protection than a royal virgin, flatter pitches than an emo boy band and almost every rule in their favour.

Surely they could waddle out for an over or two at the end of the days play.

But its too late for Hoggard.www.cricketwithballs.com "Sign our David Hussey petition"

thought for the day

In South Africa he was a off spinning tail ender who no one noticed.

In England he is a batsmen who most people try to ignore.

And although I am assuming he is the same sort of shit bloke in England as he was in South Africa, in South Africa it would have be harder to notice.www.cricketwithballs.com "Sign our David Hussey petition"

real cricket

Now the bastard monkey tour is over we can focus on real cricket again.

And according to our NZ correspondent Sportsfreak Ross Taylor has some @ss on him in whites.

This has obviously confused the English, as they are now letting him run away with a big first Innings total.

The England are also quite fond of this How chap, they like to see as much of him as they can.

A lot of other Kiwis have produced steady NZ type innings along the way.

So where does this leave the England?

Perhaps Hoggard and Harmison have not got into the swing of things just yet, although Harmison may not even know where the swing set is.

Sidebottom could be a handy first change bowler, but first over with the new nut seems an odd place for him.

And Monty continues to not live up to any of the hype.

Not his fault of course, he didn’t create the hype. Visit www.monty-panesar.com though.

The England sh1t on the road tour bus has decided to travel to New Zealand as well, how grand.

But at least KP and Collingwood are bowling well.www.cricketwithballs.com "Sign our David Hussey petition"

press conferences

At a press conference to celebrate the end of the Indian Tour of Australia, some of the main dudes had some interesting things to say.

Mike Proctor “to be honest I hate Australian’s as well, after all I am South African”.

James Sutherland “we don’t kow tow to the BCCi, we just think about how angry India will be before making all decisions, after all its not tiddly winks”.

Matt Hayden “jesus didn’t like weeds either”.

Sreesanth “I’m not angry, who the fu©k said I was angry, get ready for my friend pain”.

Richie “well what a summer it’s been, I’m off to France because it’s the one place I know Tony Greig won’t follow me”.

Ishant Sharma “Usually I send off batsmen by pointing my adams apple at the changeroom, but its grown so big I make take out someones eye if I do that now”.

Michael Clarke “now I have a hot blonde who is grounding me I have filled the requirements Cricket Australia have for captains”.

Mark Nicholas “ummhnaaaauuumhea” (hard to translate due to the fact he was sucking on gilly’s toes at the time).

Harbhajan “Thanks Australia, do you have any idea how much more I am worth at home now, I might sell monkey flavoured ice cream”.

Brad Hogg “ What about me, it isn’t Fair I’ve done enough now I want my share”.

Brett Lee “I think India is great, we have had some miss understandings, but I think they are great, the have already paid for my last house, I’m hoping over the next few years I’ll be able to afford an island, because they are great, the people the country and the fact they give me US dollars”.

Yuvraj Singh “I coulda been a contender”.

MS Dhoni “ We are looking forward to the challenge of matching it with Australia, end of recording please change tape. We are really looking forward to the challenge of “record country name here”

Ricky Ponting “Thank fu©k Gilly retired, he was really starting to piss me off”.

Anil Kumble “We was robbed”.

Adam Gilchrist “When I said I would retire, I meant after I had played in every venue in the world on my retirement tour”.

Andrew Symonds “” (you don’t need to say anything when hip and shouldering a streaker, although a "take that motherfu©ker" would have been nice.

Mahela Jayawardena “hello, is anyone here, we toured as well, is there anybody out there”.www.cricketwithballs.com "Sign our David Hussey petition"

no worries indeed

A good point was made by Samir about meta whinging on my lazy wrap up of the one day series.

It’s not just India whinging that has bugged me, and it has bugged me, but its Australia’s whinging about India’s whinging that has bugged me.

Yes I am aware that I am now whinging about Australia’s whinging about India’s whinging.

Firstly India, the team, and certain supporters have whinged like a country song from start to finish of this tour.

But so have many an English team before.

So have many a touring team, it’s a tough tour.

This time though the Australian cricket team and certain supporters have taken to a tit for tat whinging campaign the likes of which has never been seen.

Bagging Indians is the new flavour of the month in Australia, and although some Indian behavior deserves to be bagged, saying they are going home, anything bhaji says or does and Sharma’s adam apple, the rest is just over the top.

I wish I could blame Australia losing as the reason for the new found whinginess, but to be honest we are becoming a nation on whingers and losing has very little to do with it.

We used to say No worries, now we whinge more than England, still not as much as India, but perhaps we could claim their mantle of whinging in exchange for our mantle of cricket.

And well done Samir for the phrase Meta-Whinging.www.cricketwithballs.com "Sign our David Hussey petition"

One dayers are good for something

We all get a little tired of the one day format.

Then something happens, and it brings joy to our hearts.

I love the way this guy showed the incident a few times and even moved his camera over the screen.

He is a true artist.

And if anyone wants to know why Roy is so damn popular in Australia, this is the reason.www.cricketwithballs.com "Sign our David Hussey petition"
